Good day to you.
Firstly, I apologize for the lack of reporting from the field on here. It was early November when I last spoke to you. It has been a very busy time since returning from my trip. Because of this some things have been a little neglected at times, this blog being one of them.
So what's been happening? So much! I travelled to Brazil for about three and half weeks, been working two jobs to try and get my finances in order, bought a van and started converting it as a mobile home, travelled to Spain, got a girlfriend that doesn't live on this continent and I spoke for the first time publicly about the bike trip at the London Bike show. Penny loved the attention proudly posing for photographs.
I am really hoping to cover all this in more detail as soon as I have time. I want to run a blog series on the van conversion which I am so excited about. I may talk more details about the whole girlfriend thing but then some private things need to stay private so we shall see how much I share. The public speaking was great fun, very nervous but such a buzz and since then I now have two more talks booked up for this summer. Hopefully something will come of that in the future.
Currently I am constantly hitting cross roads with lots of decision making. It's tough. I am trying to keep this a happy balance between doing lots of cool shit like my rock climbing and travel but at the same time trying to earn money to pay for it all. I think it's starting to come together. I've been trying to open up a lot more doors and see where things lead. With my normal jobs, the speaking and trying to have a relationship. I have no idea where this is all going to lead to but I'm sure it's going to be fun and interesting.
There's so much in the pipeline that I can't wait to share with you. I'm currently trying to plan a trip which is human powered and if the planning adds up and I can get the finances together then it's going to be an amazing trip. But I will keep you updated. Anyway, that's all for now. If you've not already done so then please head to the bottom of the page and stick your email address in the box below, I will send you an occasional email with all my updates.
Thanks for reading.
I've travelled a lot and recently been using AirBnB so much. I love it and have had some amazing places to stay during my travels. If you're not a member then I strongly suggest you get an account. I was given a code that I want to share with you. If you click this link it will take you to the sign up form on their site. When you've signed up you will receive £25 in credit towards your first booking. When you complete your first booking I will then receive a little towards my next trip too. It's a win win for both of us. Enjoy!
